Shearer Injured or Not?

There have been mixed reports to whether Newcastle United Captain Alan Shearer is injured or not.

Reports on BBC Radio Newcastle suggested the ex-England Captain had picked up an injury, leaving home-grown Micheal Chopra as the only fit striker available for Newcastle’s first competitive match in the inter-toto cup, taking place in less than 2 weeks.

 

But other reports say this is nonsense as the striker was seen jogging in a local park yesterday.

 

Information is very sketchy at the moment, but Newcastle fans will be hoping if he is injured, it is not serious, or the Magpies could struggle in the first round of the inter-toto.

 

Some fans believe this will also drive up asking prices for strikers as Newcastle’s desperate search for Shearer’s partner/replacement goes on.
