Unofficial player ratings from the home game with Man City, courtesy of regular forum poster Geordie Ahmed.

Given = 7 didnt have an awful lot to do BUT early on he made a very good save with his feet from a Sibierski header

Carr = 7 i thought he did very well - for a small fella he can jump quite high like - he was sound at the back BUT needs to go forward a bit more

Babayaro = 6 had a decent game. nowt special but he did some decent defending and proving okay support to Charlie

Boumsong = 6 an average game - made some good tackles BUT there was some sloppy play from him. his confidence is definately shattered but i reckon he will come good

Bramble = 7 towards the end he was class - a bit of a rock actually! at the start some of his passing was wayward BUT defensively he did well - was the better of the 2 CB's

Bowyer = 7 lots of running - tracked back to help Carr and he set up the goal! overall a good game

Clark = 6 a sound game - was good at the start but towards the end he did some sloppy passing but he ran his heart out

Parker = 8 This guy is a bloomin bargain at £6mill - a typical Parker display, he ran loads and made some quality challenges

N'Zogbia = 8 official MOM and my MOM aswell! another quality display from the young lad. he just keeps getting better - was getting stuck in and made some good passes.

Shearer = 7 a good game - played a part in the opening goal! also set Owen up for his one on one - and he had another pass across goal which Owen nearly got on the end of.

Owen = 8 good match - was looking real sharp. scored a goal BUT should have had a second when he was one on one with James - also had another effort which he made for himself before half time! ran a lot and even did a slide tackle near the corner towards the end.

Subs:

Faye = 5 an average disaplay once again! made a decent tackle and clearance BUT also made some sloppy passing and defending

Shola = 6 he is cr@p to be frank - had a shot from and angle towards the end which just went wide! the reason he got a 6 was cos he made 2 good headed clearances

Overall a good performance - Charles was the best player BUT Owen was looking sharp and Bramble is looking good aswell! We should have won more comfortably cos we had the more and better chances!
Also we managed it without Emre, Solano and Dyer so it was worth saving them til next week

Only disagreement I have is I think Bramble was good for an 8, but overall these ratings are accurate, thanks Ahmed!
