Caldwell Suspected of Banging Head

Sunderland’s Stephen Caldwell is suspected of banging his head on a hard surface, as he predicted a Sunderland win tomorrow.

Another analogy is that maybe the ex-Newcastle defender was dropped as a small baby.

Maybe he was drunk, maybe he’s on drugs. Maybe he’s just stupid, he did sign for Sunderland.

Caldwell hopes to exploit the lack of confidence in the Newcastle outfit tomorrow, coming off the back of a well played loss against Manchester United.

Caldwell said:

"Newcastle's confidence probably is not as high as it can be and we want to exploit that.

"We are confident because, apart from results, we have been playing well.

"There will be more expectation on Newcastle tomorrow because they are at home and they have spent a lot of money on new players.

"On paper they have quality players - a team full of internationals. They will fancy themselves to win.

"However, we feel we can beat them. We felt the same about Man United last weekend when they were a better team than us on paper and if you look at that game we could have beaten them."
