We all want you back Kieron

I think it is fair to say Kieron Dyer and myself have not been the best of buddies lately.
That is if you take into consideration the fact we have been incommunicado for the past three years.
Things got a lot worse after I wrote he should never kick another ball for United after refusing to play on the wing for the club at Middlesbrough at the beginning of last season.
However, he did play again and as far as I am concerned that is all in the past now.
Even so, I was still surprised to receive a phone call from the Newcastle United midfielder last Friday lunch-time.
He said he was ringing to thank me for the support myself and the Chronicle had given him as he battles against his medical condition.
Well, to be perfectly honest, I did not write my stories last week to ingratiate myself with Kieron Dyer.
I genuinely feel sorry for him because I know his current medical condition is not something he has brought on himself.
I also have selfish feelings like anyone else and I am desperately missing Newcastle United not being in Europe this season.
While he may have his critics for not scoring enough goals, I have always liked Dyer as a player.
He is one of the best players in the Premiership for doing what defenders hate - running at them.
The way the former Ipswich man made Michael Owen's second goal at West Bromwich Albion a fortnight ago was a delight to watch.
The sooner a fit Dyer is back in the Newcastle United team the better it will be for every black and white supporter.
Well thats all well and good Mr Oliver, if you are aloud to be fickle then i suppose everyone else is aswell. How you can claim to like someone as a player on one hand and write scathing article on why he should never wear the black and white shirt again is beyond me. But hey, "its all in the past now"
