Magpies' caretaker boss Glenn Roeder has promised not to to rush 27-year-old midfielder Kieron Dyer back to action following his recent return to fitness. Dyer has missed Newcastle United's last three games (hamstring) having already previously missed five months of action.
Despite his return to fitness however, Roeder told the Evening Chronicle:
"Kieron came out and did some ball work with us on Monday and it was great to see him back on the training ground.
"But it is still early days for him yet and the only thing we can say is that there is no way we are going to rush him back.
''Old Trafford is not in our thinking for him or Titus Bramble.
"Titus is back running again and he is happy at the stage his recovery is at following his hamstring injury."
