CLOSE the Bellamy Debate

It is time for some Newcastle fans to stop talking about re-signing Craig Bellamy every time he scores a goal.
Not just on our message board, but on Newcastle message boards throughout the internet, I have read posts every time Craig Bellamy scores a goal demanding we sign him back and we never should have sold him and it was all Souness’ fault.
Rubbish.
No player can ever be bigger than this football club. I don’t care who they are, they are part of a team, and Bellamy was a disruption on the team.
I’m not denying he’s a talented striker and I know he scored some cracking goals for us, but its buried; and I wish fans and the player himself would forget about it.
Bellamy said this week after
"I didn't lose my way at
"I still ended up joint top league scorer, even though I was only there until just after Christmas.
"I took a lot of stick last year and that's given me the strength to carry on. It's not just about showing people because I know what I'm about.
"It's not nice when you are branded a 'disruptive influence' by the manager and told that you're the reason the team is doing badly.
"If you look at the three previous seasons, we'd finished third, fourth and fifth with me there, and look where we are now with
"This disruptive influence has obviously got a real problem with teams, hasn't he?"
That’s very professional of you Craig – I see you still can’t keep quiet. But you say you’re not a disruptive influence…So if feigning injury, moaning about playing where the manager puts you, calling your manager a liar on national television and throwing a chair at your assistant manager isn’t disruptive, what is Craig?
Yes, he scored good goals, but it is not worth all the hassle mentioned above – and he has STILL not learnt to keep his bloody mouth shut.
Craig Bellamy and Newcastle United are no longer associated. It is time people deal with it. He’s not coming back, and we are better off without him.
