Kuyt to Extend Feyenoord Contract?

Newcastle’s move for Dirk Kuyt may be in jeopardy as it is reported that the striker is in talks about extending his contract at Feyenoord.

Scouts are watching the striker play for the second time in 10 days.

 

Kuyt already signed a contract extension until 2009 but with interest being shown by Newcastle, the club and player alike are keen to extend this, and an initial round of talks have taken place.

 

Club director Chris Woerts said:

 

"We want to do everything to make Dirk the face of Feyenoord,"

 

"If that happened, it would create a certain stability in the team. We're happy to hear that Dirk wants to think this over."
