Roeder to Manage Newcastle Until Season End

The Premier League has granted Glenn Roeder permission to manage Newcastle United until the end of the season.

Although having Roeder in place will break the 12-week rule for caretaker managers, the Premier League have allowed Roeder to take charge for the final 2 games of the season without sanction.

Their reasoning for this is because of the circumstances involving the appointment of a new England head-coach.

This will please Toon fans as the team does not have to become unsettled 2 games before the end of the season, in games which could see them clinch a European spot.
