The future looks bright for Gresty Road youngsters Nick Powell, Max Clayton and Ben Garrett following impressive performances for England Under-17s.
Nick Powell, who already has his first team debut under his belt, in particular impressed while away with the young England side scoring two goals in three appearances. Crewe Alexandra boss Gradi told the clubs official site: “Nick scored a couple of goals while he was away, he would have been on the bench against Lincoln but it won’t continue like that because he needs to be playing regularly.”
Fellow England Under-17 internationals Max Clayton and keeper Ben Garrett could break into the first team sooner rather than later according to the proud Crewe Alexandra boss Dario Gradi. “It is a tremendous achievement for everyone connected with the club to see those boys represent England. They did well in those games and will be better for the experience.” Crewe Alexandra The Alex The Railwaymen Railway men Crewe Alexandra Crewe Alexandra The Alex The Railwaymen Railway men Crewe Alexandra
