Nathan Ellington in Profile

Joined Town in the Summer of 2011 on a free transfer after being released by Watford at the end of the previous season.

Ellington is perhaps best known for his three year spell at Wigan Athletic between 2002 and 2005 where he scored 59 league goals for the club in 134 league games where he played under current Town boss Paul Jewell.

The Bradford born frontman left Wigan for West Brom in August 2005 after being unable to agree a new contract at the Lancashire club where he scored 15 times in 68 games before signing for Watford in the summer of 2007.

Life at Watford was not to be enjoyable for the striker nicknamed 'The Duke' however, who scored just 5 times in 51 league games for the club over four years. During the four year stay at the Hornets he spent time on loan at Derby, Skoda Xanthi of Greece and Preston North End before being released at the end of 2010/11.

Has struggled to make an impact at Town, and failed to score in 17 games in his first season at the club. Having fallen further down the pecking order, Ellington joined Scunthorpe on loan early the following season.
