Mick Delighted at Signing Strike Duo

Town boss Mick McCarthy has expressed his delight at signing strikers David McGoldrick from Nottingham Forest and Aaron McLean from Hull City on loan.

McGoldrick was the first of the two to sign and will be at Portman Road until May from the City Ground with a view to a full move in the summer, whilst Aaron McLean followed shortly after from The Circle and will stay with Town for the reason of the season.

Speaking of his firepower additions, Town boss Mick McCarthy told the club site: “David dropped down a level to play for Coventry on loan over the first half of the season and did really well.

"He was the leading scorer in League One with 16 goals so we are signing a player at the top of his form. He’s a good player who we have been watching and it’s deal that we are looking to lead to a permanent one.

“Aaron is also a good addition to the squad.  I tried to sign him for Wolves a long time ago so I know about his qualities.  He will bring pace, power and athleticism to the side and I’m delighted that we have managed to get both of them.”
