Guirane N'Daw in Profile

Former Birmingham City central defender or defensive midfielder who signed for Town from Saint-Étienne on loan until the end of the season in August 2012.

Senegal born N'Daw started his career at Sochaux where he came through the youth academy before signing a professional deal in 2002 at the age of 18. The 6ft 3in player appeared in over 122 games over six years, scoring 5 goals for Les Lionceaux. 

Following his first club's relegation to the French second division in the 2008/09 season  N'Daw joined Saint-Étienne on loan for the whole of the following campaign, with the player impressing sufficently at his temporary club to earn a full move at the end of his loan spell.

However despite costing Saint-Étienne £4m and impressing in his loan spell, N'Daw was unable to force his way into his new club's first team in 2010/2011 and joined Spanish side Real Zaragoza in January 2011 for the rest of the season, but only appeared nine times for his new temporary side.

With N'Daw back at Saint-Étienne at the start of 2011/2012, Birmingham City made an offer to loan the player for the 2011/2012 season, which was accepted by his parent club. The Senegal international went on to appear 29 times for Birmingham during the season, without scoring.
