Schurrle Wunderbar!

I readily admit that I can be counted amongst the sceptics who have doubted Andre Schurrle's value to Chelsea, but after his hat-trick heroics against Foolham, I am tempted to hum the tune of Deutschland Uber Alles! After the first-half stalemate, which was indeed stale, mate, who could have envisaged the second-half transformation from Andre and his chums?

Hopefully, Schurrle's trio of goals will persuade José that our "little horse" needs to give him a run of a few matches in the team, in preference to the hard-working but lamentably goal-shy Willian. Although the media will no doubt be singing Andre's praises after his goals bonanza, he did score twice at Stoke City in early December, but he did not exactly kick on from there. Furthermore, the disappointingly misfiring Eto'o recorded a hat-trick against ManUre in January, but he has gone back into his shell since then. Consequently, it is absolutely crucial that Schurrle can achieve a certain momentum, arising out of his Craven Cottage performance. Obviously any consistency in his Chelsea career is only possible if José grants him an extended run in the team.

With our lovely neighbours of Arse-nil collecting nul points from the dastardly Stoke City, this represents a jolly nice start to March.
