Toffees Trounced

Remember remember the fifth of November. On fireworks night the champions of 2015 produced a remarkable display of footballing pyrotechnics that had all manner of experts and pundits salivating and waxing lyrical. Sexy football, it seems, has returned to west London, after being sent into exile by that nice Mr Mourinho. How times have changed. When Victor Moses hit the post in the first half, we had one wing back delivering the cross from the edge of the penalty area while the other was in the box and shooting at goal. The team are now lining up to get into the box. One year ago nobody, not even Costa, was getting into the penalty area. Funny the difference in goals scored between then and now. 

Meanwhile, the team has even gone five hundred minutes without conceding a single Premiership goal. It's hard to take it all in. Young stroppy Courtois is accumulating so many clean sheets that his local launderette will be going out of business, so a standing ovation is granted to the triumvirate of Azpilicueta, Cahill, and dear old David Luiz. Not only is the Brazilian maestro a reformed character, but what of Matic?! Big Nemmy is now the king of assists. He's even bombing forward, Essien style, with ball at feet and accelerating past opponents. Pedro is doing likewise. His back heel for Hazard's sublime second was the pass of the season, surpassing young Chalobah's effort for Moses a month ago. It's so hard to comprehend. Chelsea are playing like Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid rolled into one. Good times, good team.
