Crazy First Half, Marvellous Result

Chelsea returned to winning ways against Arsenic - something they seemed incapable of doing when Antonio Conte was in charge. It took the Spanish trio of Pedro, Morata, and Alonso to provide the goals. The league table currently consists of us in the top four with Arseholes and West Ham United in the relegation zone! Tis my kind of league table.
As for the match itself, it was chances galore in the first 45 minutes. Fortunately they wasted a few of theirs. Meanwhile Pedro coolly finished off a smart passing move to open the scoring. Then we were treated to a collector's item when Morata slotted the ball home instead of aiming for a ridiculous curler that flies the wrong side of the post. Then when we were threatening a repeat of that nice six-nil from a few years back, the enemy responded with two strikes of their own. Our expensive new goalkeeper didn't exactly cover himself in glory when he allowed their first goal to sneak beyond his pathetic grasp.
Happily in the second half, the enemy troops ran out of ammunition, and with the belated introduction of Hazard and the promising Kovacic, the Blues found the winner. Big Marcus was on hand to ghost into the area and expertly finish off another neat attack.
I really don't think that the erratic Luiz and Rudiger are the ultimate central defence partnership, but the new manager has breathed new life into this team. Even Barkley and Pedro are playing quite well. Long may it last.
