Possible return for Brown?

Although there has been some interest from a couple of parties, there has been no solid approach to the club with a view to investment.

O'Hara has arranged a meeting for Tuesday in which interested investors are invited to attend.

A whole range of people have already been contacted with a view to taking over the club. Past Chairmen and Directors as well as other shareholders within the club.

The names of David Greenwood and Jim Brown were mentioned and this will send shivers down people's spines. A lot of fans hold these two responsible for the position the club is currently in. But O'Hara stated that these two could hold a key role in the future of the club.

Would Jim Brown be so stupid as to want to get back involved with Halifax Town? He is still a shareholder at the club, but with the amount of abuse he has received in the past, would he really want to make a return to the club?

David Greenwood is a long time friend of Brown's and he is also the major shareholder of the club. He has not played an active part at the club for quite a few years because of illness, but....

Greenwood last year tried to oust Bob Walker and replace him with John Russell. So he obviously still holds an interest in the club. Last time Walker managed to thwart the threat of this. But anyone who now shows interest in the club will have their hand bitten off by O'Hara.

How would people feel though if the club was all set to go out of business, and then a consortium of Greenwood, Brown, and some other rogue businessman came in to secure the club?

Would they be treat as hero's, or would people just be pleased that they still had a club to support?
