Defender Guiseppe Bellusci will miss the rest of the season after a scan on the leg injury that caused him to miss the Charlton game meant that he had to be referred to a specialist.

He was one of the six players to pull out of Redfearn's squad for the defeat at Charlton and there had been speculation as to whether or not the 'injuries' were a cover for a potential player strike.

The Whites released a statement saying that there was no player strike and the plays were in fact injured, although provided no clear evidence of injury following the physio's claim that all of the players were fit to play.

However Bellusci's injury has been proven genuine and he will play no further part in the current campaign. The Italian has been integral to the Leeds squad this season, scoring twice in 30 appearances.
