Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink unfazed by Leeds rumours

Burton Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink remains 'calm' over rumours that he is set to replace Neil Redfearn at Elland Road should the latter's contract not be renewed at the end of the season.

The former striker, who spent two years playing for the Mighty Whites between 1997 and 1999, said he would make a decision "with my head and not my heart" should be approached to take the reins at United.

He has already committed his future to Albion, however, and said he doesn't want to comment on the Leeds job as "they still have a manager who I really like and has done a fantastic job".

Redfearn's position looks more and more in doubt each day even with the excellent job he's been done stabilising the club and finishing the season without his assistant Steve Thompson.

Hasselbaink is strong favourite to be United's next manager, and it seems that even if his head tells him to stay at Burton, he may struggle to not listen to his heart and return to the club where he had two successful seasons, scoring 34 times in 69 appearances. 

The 43-year-old, who has guided Burton to promotion this season, would face a new challenge in dealing with Cellino and the workings of Elland Road and Thorpe Arch but would be sure to relish the opportunity.
