Match Preview: The Mighty Whites vs Rotherham United

Leeds United will finish their season with a second successive Yorkshire derby, this time against Rotherham United, in what could be manager Neil Redfearn's last game in charge of the club.

Many fans have been promoting that people who go to the match wear purple in honour of Redfearn's work and in an effort to heighten his chances of survival.

United host Rotherham who escaped relegation earlier this week meaning United fans are stuck with Steve Evans for at least one more season, but hopefully the lads will wipe the smirk off of his face.

Leeds will be boosted by the possible return of Aidy White, who has missed the entire season through injury, and the fact that Redfearn has no new injury concerns will mean that it could be a similar side to the one that secured a first win in seven games against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

Redfearn told leedsunited.com "It's a Yorkshire derby and you want to get the bragging rights. It's a tough game but we want to win". 

Rotherham won 2-1 at the oddly named New York Stadium earlier this year, and a positive result would put a cherry on top of what has been a tough season for staff, players and fans alike. 

"There have been major strides forward and we want to build on this" Redfearn stated, looking forward to next season, "You're as good as your last game and we want to finish well. Its a young squad now and with the right coaching we can have a really strong side in the future."
