Season ends in dire 0-0 against Yorkshire rivals

Leeds United's seasons ended with a stale 0-0 draw against rivals the already safe Rotherham United, as Rotherham manager Steve Evans donned a sombrero and some beachwear to celebrate their survival.

There had been much pre-match hype due to the possible return of Leeds Owner Massimo Cellino to the ground following the lifting of his ban, and a planned fan protest against him and in support of Neil Redfearn as Leeds' fans planned to wear purple and don the number 17, two of Cellino's irrational fears.

However the match could not live up to the hype with both keepers rarely troubled, with Rodolph Austin having the best chance of the match when his deflected shot flew just wide. 

Taylor and Cooper went close for the Whites, with only a superb Arnison tackle denying Taylor what seemed to be a certain goal.

One huge positive for Leeds was the return of full-back come winger Aidy White, who made his first appearance for the first-team since pre-season following a serious ankle injury.

Leeds finish the season in a respectable 15th position given all of the off-field drama that has been oh so dominant at the club this season, and here's hoping next season will be an improvement.

Chants of "there's only one Neil Redfearn" rang around the ground at the final whistle, with the fans' support of the current manager being more evident than ever. 

The man himself said, "the important part now is recruitment, and if I'm going to be here I'd like to be a part of that. I imagine we'll sit down next week to talk about it all".
