A few alternatives if you don't like Red Bull Leeds

With the ever-present rumours that Leeds United are going to, once again, be bought out by Red Bull, we thought we'd compile a list of teams you could go watch every week if you felt like the team you loved had been lost to corporate gain.

Guiseley AFC

Guiseley have just been promoted to the National League (formerly Conference Premier) and look like a team on the up! They play in white with secondary colours of blue and yellow so the adjustment wouldn't be too tough. They're also affiliated with Leeds United (well, on Football Manager) so it'd be like a home away from home. Fair enough, Nethermoor Park would need a bit of an upgrade to host the tens of thousands of Leeds United fans but they keep building houses in Guiseley so I'm sure there's room for a new ground. Matchday prices are £12 for adults, £7 concessions, £4 for 12-16 year olds and free for under 12's!

Leeds Ladies FC

The Phoenix has risen for women's football in Leeds and this new club just keeps getting better and better. It'd be nice to see a winning streak every so often, and LLFC just ended the season in 3rd place in the Northern Division One on the back of a seven-match winning streak! Formerly Leeds United Ladies, the links to the Whites are plain for all to see, with the girls also donning the white, blue and yellow we've all come to love. The club are moving their home games to Garforth Town FC for the 2015/16 season with under 16s going free and adults paying just £3

Garforth Town

That moves us nicely on to Garforth Town, who play their football in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division. It's been a rebuilding phase for The Miners after some tough times but they finished a respectable 14th position this season, stabilising their league status. Also wearing yellow, blue and white (there's a theme here) it again wouldn't be too tough to adjust to life as a Garforth Town fan. 

Farsley AFC

Our final suggestion is Farsley AFC. Formerly the famous Farsley Celtic, the club rebranded in 2010 and is rebuilding to become the force it once was. The Throstle Nest hold 3,900 fans, that's 900 more than Guiseley so a bit of leg room for those who wish to convert. Yellow and blue are once again the colours so although you'd have to abandon the famous white shirt, there would still be a homely feeling. The Villagers finished 12th in the Northern Premier League's Division One North this season, the eigth tier of English football. Adults can watch for just £7, concessions and unaccompanied juniors for £4, with accompanied juniors watching for just a quid. 

Of course we would never abandon the Mighty Whites, we're Leeds through and through! We'd just seen some chat on Twitter and thought we'd offer our penny's worth!
