August will make or break Rosler

Uwe Rosler's first season in charge will begin with a baptism of fire in August as The Mighty Whites face 6 games in 21 days, including away trips to Reading, Bristol City and Derby County.

It looks like one of the toughest start any Leeds boss has faced for many years, but that being said there seems to be no easy fixtures in what could be the most competitive Championship season to date.

United open with relegated Burnley visiting Elland Road before a short trip to Doncaster for a League Cup tie. They then visit Reading and Bristol City, with a trip to Derby following an early West Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday.

Rosler will surely be looking at the fixtures with a tear in his eye and praying that he can keep hold of the likes of Sam Byram and Alex Mowatt, as well as bolster his squad with something other than unknown Italians.

September is slightly kinder to Leeds, with only 4 matches currently scheduled. Home ties against Brentford and Ipswich preceed away trips to Milton Keynes and Middlesborough.

All this means that Leeds fans will rack up a staggering 1,531 miles in away trips (there and back) by the end of September! We hope you've been saving up over summer!

It will no doubt be a testing time for the players and coaching staff and if early results don't go our way, Rosler will surely feel Cellino breathing down his neck. But you never know, top by the end of September?

We hope so.
