Bates Injury

It is suspected that on-loan Middlesbrough defender Matt Bates has suffered medial ligament damage.

Bates had to be stretchered off during Town’s 1-0 defeat against Barnsley yesterday and early signs suggest he has suffered medial ligament damage but Town cannot be sure how bad the injury until the results of a scan he will go for this week.

 

Town’s head of sport science, Dave Williams: “It looks like a medial ligament injury but we will know more when we scan Matt's knee, it's too early to tell how long he will be out for.”
