Town fans who have already paid for travel arrangements to Hull expecting Town's game against Hull City will be compensated by the club.

Town's game against Hull City at the KC stadium has been brought forward to a 12:30 kick-off as Hull's Rugby league side have a game against Wigan in the evening.

Town's secretary, Sally Webb: "Obviously we would have preferred the 3.00pm kick-off but it is our understanding that, in the interests of safety to all sets of fans involved, an early kick-off was necessary, we've have been told that it would not have been possible for the city of Hull to handle a game at the KC Stadium kicking off at 3pm with a likely crowd of 18,000 and a rugby Super League Play Off Semi-Final at either the KC or neighbouring Hull KR's stadium at 7pm."

Town chief executive Derek Bowden confirmed the clubs intention to compensate fans, saying: "We will of course compensate those supporters travelling by rail where appropriate. It was always our intention to do so once details are agreed,"
