McManus Bid Rejected

Town have had an approach for Chester youngster Paul McManus turned down by the League Two side earlier this month.
Town made an enquiry about the 17-year-old striker but it has been dismissed by Chester as they are keen on keeping McManus with them.
Chester chairman Steve Vaughan: "I received an enquiry this week from Ipswich Town chairman, David Sheepshanks, for our young striker Paul McManus.
"I rejected his interest in the player because I am keen that Chester keep hold of any young players who show potential.
"But the fact that Ipswich have shown an interest in one of our youngsters spoke volumes for our successful youth system.
"Under previous managers we've always relied on paying for seasoned professional players to come in. But now we're starting to produce players from our own youth system because I believe we've got the right management at the club."
