Ipswich town’s Spanish striker Pablo Couñago has pledged his future to Portman Road and Ipswich Town, for at least this season.

The 24 year old missed the last two months of last season but still managed to net 12 goals in all competitions has been looking a shell of what he can be but has still said he is happy to stay at Portman road.

Pablo said: “I am happy and plan to stay and score goals for the club. I have every incentive to score goals as if Ipswich manage to regain a Premiership place then I can hopefully stay at Portman Road after my current contract expires next summer.

“If we remain where we are then it will be difficult to arrange another contract with the club.”.

Pablo is the highest earner at Portman road and id he were to go its reported that up to three new players could join the team.
