Ipswich town defender George Santos has said that he wants to stay at Portman road and see out the remaining year of his contract.

The 33 year Frenchman has been allowed to leave Portman road on a free transfer and three clubs has shown an interest in signing him, those being QPR, Burnley and Stoke City.

George has said that: I am in the shop window at the moment so we will see what happens, but I am looking forward to getting a first team place at Ipswich.

“I think I have still got a future at Portman Road but Joe Royle said to me that he has got so many centre backs.

“I want to stay in Ipswich and I would like to finish my contract. I have never left a club before I have finished my contract.

“If I have to leave then we will have to see the offers, but football is very funny. One day you are in and the next you are out again.

“If something happens with QPR, Burnley or Stoke then we will see but, at the moment, we are just waiting.”.
