Titus Looks Forward To PR Return

Former Ipswich Town defender Titus Bramble is looking forward to making a return to Portman Road for the first time since leaving.

Bramble left Portman road and head up the A1 towards Newcastle in august 2002 for £4.5 million move after town’s relegation, will be in the Newcastle united squad for the “Dale Roberts Testimonial” game on Wednesday night, as should two other former Town boys in the shape of Darren Ambrose and Kieron Dyer.

Titus has said that: “I’ve been looking forward to this game since it was arranged. It will be good to go back down to Portman Road and see a few familiar faces, I still keep in touch with a lot of the lads down there and it will be good to play against them on Wednesday.

“I’m sure it will be a hard game for us because they will be hoping for a good season and they’ll be desperate to get back up into the Premiership.

“We got a couple of games under our belts on the Far East trip, and in those conditions I think they will benefit us.

“But now we’re home the games are getting tougher now, starting at Ipswich on Wednesday. We’ve then got the tournament where we’ll play Rangers and either Lisbon or Feyenoord, followed by Celtic.

“It’s a busy schedule, but we want to get off to a better start than we did last season and this is good preparation for us.”.
