Ipswich Town have taken French striker Pascal Nouma on a weeks trial after being released by a side in Qatar.

The 32 year Frenchmen has spent most of his career playing in France, starting his career with Paris St Germain before moving to Lille and later Caen before returning to Paris for a second spell with PSG he then moved to Strasbourg followed by Lens before joining Besiktas where he scored 23 goals in 34 games which prompted a return to France to play for Marseille before returning to Besiktas for a season and then he moved to a side in Qatar.

Pascal has been included in the squad for tonight’s friendly against Spanish side Osasuna at Portman road and he may be able to play against Gillingham on Saturday.

Ipswich boss Joe Royle has said that: “We have taken Pascal on trial for the week and we are hoping to get clearance for him to play against Osasuna, He's a big lad who impressed when he played against Arsenal a few years ago so we will see how he gets on.”.
