Forest 1-1 Ipswich

Ipswich town had to come from behind to earn a point at Nottingham Forest’s city ground, Darren Bent’s goal earning the point.

Forests new signing Olav Hjelde had a fond return to the city ground, finding him self booked in the 13th minute for a tackle from behind on Darren Bent.

Tony Dinning wasted a good chance early on, Shefki Kuqi laying the ball off to him only for Tony’s weak effort to be gathered by Paul Gerrard in the Forest goal.

Paul Evans had given forest the lead in the 25th minute tapping the ball home from six yards.

Forests midfield men passed the ball around neatly and away from the Ipswich team before Andy Reid found him self in enough space to get a cross which met the head of Gareth Taylor, Kelvin Davis denying the front man with a stunning save.

Town went in 1-0 down and looked like that they had no response for Forest, although 9 minutes after the restart Darren Bent found the back of the net although Ipswich had the cross bar to thank as Andy Reid’s volley hit that after beating Kelvin Davis.

Town spent the next 35 minutes on the back foot but managed to hang on for a point which sends them 5th in the table.
