Jim To Miss Derby
Ipswich Town captain, Jim Magilton is very likely to miss Ipswich town’s visit to pride park on Saturday with the same thigh injury.
Jim has already missed the first two games of the season after picking up the
injury in pre-season, after playing in every game last year. Although Ipswich
manager Joe Royle isn’t writing him off just yet, Royle saying that: “Jim is
unlikely to play against Derby but we will see how he is on Friday, I have
learned never to write off the old warhorse and he is running again but the tear
is still there in his thigh.
“He is working with Dave Williams, our
physio, and we are taking it a day at a time at the moment but we do need him
out on the park because he is a big influence on the side.”.
Meanwhile Jim himself seems to of Ruled him self out and will be waiting for the results of scans on Monday, Jim saying that: “I am having a scan on Monday and hopefully it will be good news.
“I played on a bit too long in pre-season when I should have taken a rest earlier. But I wanted to be part of the action.
“They told me that rest should be the cure, and I can do everything apart from strike the ball. When I do it is painful.”.
