Ipswich Town midfielder Ian Westlake is a little bit shocked to of been called into the England Under 21 squad for the game against Ukraine.

The 20 year old who won both the fans player of the season and the Singing The Blues player of the year last season has said that: “An awful lot has happened to me in a short space of time.

“Two years ago I was in the reserves and if you'd told me that I would now be a first-team regular and in the England Under-21 squad I simply wouldn't have believed you.

“There were better players around when I was a kid, but it doesn't always work out for them for a number of reasons. I just knuckled down and decided to work as hard as possible, then I was determined to make the most of my chance if it came along.”.
