Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle wants Darren Bent to show the kind of form he is capable off after his England under 21 showing.

Darren netted his 3rd goal for the under 21 side in six appearances last night, scoring in injury time to wrap up a 3-1 win against the Ukraine.

Despite that Joe Royle wants him to find the form he’s shown for England for Town, Royle has said that: 2I hope he's kept at least one back for Saturday.

“I know Darren scored for us at Nottingham Forest last week, but I feel he's due another one. He hasn't quite hit his best form this season.

“But last night's goal won't have done him any harm. It's a great feeling scoring for your country.

“He's not far off one every two games for us. His record for us is fantastic and there is still so much more to come from the kid.”.
