De Vos Hits Out At Canada
Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos has hit out at a over cautious Canadian medical team that sent him home from Canada with a non-existent fracture in his leg.
De Vos complained of a pain in his leg while away with his nation and went for a scan to be on the safe side, an x-ray showed nothing but a MRI scan showed a hairline fracture in his fibula and he was sent back to Ipswich where more scans showed nothing.
De Vos has said that: “I'm very annoyed with the medical staff at the
hospital in Canada. After the initial X-ray came back clear they said a further
scan showed a fracture in the fibula. I specifically asked that they were sure
it was not just bruising, but they were adamant.
“I came back and found
there is no fracture so I could have played for my country. Instead we lost and
that could be a big blow to our chance of qualifying for the World Cup.”.
