Ipswich Town moved into 3rd in the football league championship after a 2-0 win against Rotherham at Millmoor yesterday.
The first half at Millmoor was dominated by the home side up until the 43rd minute when Shefki Kuqi put Town in front with a right footed volley, which in some parts has been called “good enough to grace the premiership”.
Although Rotherham did have a few attempts in the early going, Paul Shaw and Michael Proctor both having a crack at Kelvin Davis’s goal from long range. Rotherham’s good start forced Ipswich into playing long ball football in order to stem to the Rotherham teams movement.
Kuqi could opened the scoring earlier then the 43rd minute after sending his header wide of the target not troubling Mike Pollitt in the Rotherham goal.

Two minutes after the break Kuqi doubled Town’s lead after Darren Bent was given the time on the edge of the Rotherham box to feed the ball though to Kuqi who made no mistake with his right foot from six yards.
Rotherham responded to going 2 goals down with a shoot from Richie Barker which failed to trouble Davis and Rotherham found them selves unable to find that extra kick to trouble the Ipswich back line.
