Nash Nearly Back
Ipswich Town defender Gerard Nash is nearly fully recovered from a cruciate ligament injury, that ruled him for the past 9 months.
The Ireland youth international had surgery for the injury at the start of the year and after a 9 month lay off he is expected to have part of a game for the reserve side in the coming weeks.
Nash has said that: “I have been back running and training now for a while
and the next step is to play for the reserves, The knee feels fine and I am
training normally now.
“I had to get through the psychological side of
things, taking a knock on the knee, things like that but there was never really
a problem and now I'm raring to go.
“Hopefully I will get a run out for
the reserves either next week or the week after.”.
Nash has made one appearance for town that against Burnley in the 6-1 home win last October.
