No Reaction For Jim

Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton has not reported no ill effects to his thigh injury as he continues to regain fitness.

Jim had missed the first four games of Town’s season after picking up a thigh injury in the pre-season friendly against Newcastle United. Jim returned to action in the first round of the carling cup against Brentford and managed to play 70 minutes in both of Town’s league games over the bank holiday weekend.

Magilton has said that: “I have been training this week and it feels fine, I had no reaction at all after the games at the weekend and now it's a case of building up my fitness levels.

“I missed much of the pre-season and with a two week gap to the Millwall match, it gives me a chance to catch up on my fitness.”.

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle added: “We are delighted that Jim is back playing.

“We missed him while he was injured and now we have got two weeks to get some fitness into him.

“He's a key player for us and we can't afford to be without him.”.
