Alun At Millmoor
Former Ipswich Town striker Alun Armstrong is now training with coca cola championship side Rotherham, and hoping to get a deal at Millmoor.
The 29 year old former Middlesbrough player played for Rotherham against Mansfield Town on Thursday night and Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore is keen to add a striker to his squad after losing Martin Butler.
Moore has said that: “You could see he has the quality but the main worry is that he isn't match fit enough for us to take him at the moment. We have offered to get him fit here with us but we don't want to do that and then see him go to join another club so we will have to wait and see what the player wants to do.”.
Bristol City also took Alun on trial but an injury cut short his stay at Ashton Gate but he hopes to go back there in the coming weeks and Walsall have also expressed an interest in him.
