17 year old Canadian winger Jamie Peters is set to reject the contract offered to him by Ipswich Town in favour of a move to Millwall.

17 year old Canadian winger Jamie Peters is set to reject the contract offered to him by Ipswich Town in favour of a move to Millwall.

The 17 year old had a trial at Ipswich last month before a trial at Derby County and was offered a full time deal by Ipswich Town and reportedly had been offered a trial by Manchester United.

Ipswich Town defender Jason De Vos and former Ipswich favourite Frank Yallop did their best to convince the youngster that he should further his career at Portman road, but Jamie has hinted that he would prefer Millwall as he has family in London.

Jason has said: “Despite the best efforts of Frank and myself, Jaime has said he wants to go to Millwall. He has family in London so I can understand his decision. It is quite daunting for a young Canadian to come over here to play football, so it makes sense to go to a club where he has family to support him.”.
