Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle believes that Ipswich and England under 21 striker Darren Bent can still improve his game.

Bent who could make his 100th appearance in a town shirt on Sunday when Millwall visit Portman road has an impressive goal scoring record of 38 goals in 73 starts and 26 substitute appearances for Ipswich and 6 goals in 8 appearances from the bench for the England under 21 side.

Ipswich town manager Joe Royle has said that: “Darren must be wondering why he is not starting for the Under-21's with a record like his, but Peter Taylor probably sees him as a match-winner from the substitute position.

“Darren still has a lot of improvement in him, but the way he played against Wolverhampton in our last match was his best for some time. He is an Ipswich player, and we want to keep him. Now is not the time to think about his value to other clubs.”.
