Dinning Hoping To Stay
On loan midfielder Tony Dinning would like to make his loan switch from Wigan Athletic to Ipswich Town longer than the initial two months.
The 29 year old who has served one month of his two month loan made three starts on the trot before the return of captain Jim Magilton sent Dinning down to the bench.
Although Dinning is now down on the bench he feels things have been going
well, saying that: “It has gone really well and things here are exactly as I
heard they would be.
“It is great to feel part of a team again and to be
given a chance to play.
“All I can do now is play as well as I can in
reserve games and the times when I get on the pitch for the first
team.
“I have done all I can in training and worked hard. I'm enjoying
being part of the squad, but I'm not content with just settling for
that.
“I want to take my chance when I get on and prove to the manager
that I am worth keeping on for the rest of the season, or even longer.
“I'm not surprised that we are in third place, I fancied Ipswich to go up
before I came here and the teams that have come down from the Premiership have
not done as well as expected.
“All we can do at Ipswich now is carry on
as we have been doing and we have a great chance of staying up around the
top.”.
