Ipswich Town travel to south Yorkshire today to play Doncaster rovers in the carling cup second round at Belle Vue a place in the 3rd the prize for the victors.

Ipswich manager Joe Royle still has no injury concerns ahead of the game and stays with the same 17 man squad he has used for the last few games to Bell Vue but he will make a few changes, Tony Dinning, Dean Bowditch and Matt Richards all expected to start.

If Tommy Miller players it will be his 100th Town appearance and it will be at the ground where he made his football league debut for Hartlepool.

Speaking ahead of the game Royle has said: “Kelvin Davis wants to play because he always wants to play and he was magnificent at West Ham.

“I do need to think about Lewis' development as well though and he could come in to the side.

“I had a word with Tony last week and said you are doing fine but we want better than fine.

“He did better than fine at West Ham and that was easily his best performance when he came on, so we will review Tony as he goes on.

“He is very talented and we haven't seen all that talent yet. It is still to come out but he has to express himself.

“They will be up for it and it will be a difficult game for us, we can't afford any injuries but a place is up for grabs for the Third Round and that's when the big boys come in and we want to take it.

“I have not been to Belle Vue before so it will be a new experience as well.”.

Doncaster manager Dave Penney will be with out on-loan Mark Wilson as Cup holders Middlesbrough do not wish him to cup-tied.

Penney will also be with out: Gregg Blundell (ankle), Simon Marples (stomach), Tim Ryan (foot) and Dave Morley (hernia).

Speaking ahead of the Game Penney has said: “It is going to be hard against a team like Ipswich, who are trying to get back into the Premier League and have started the season really well.

“If they play like Sunderland did against us in pre-season we will really have our work cut out. But the cup is a one-off and anything can happen.

“We will be out to give a good account of ourselves and see what happens.”.
