Davis Resumes Training

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Kelvin Davis has today started some light training after a back injury forced him to miss the last 135 minutes of football.

Davis had to miss the second half of Town’s draw with Reading and all of last Sundays 2-1 win over Coventry city with Lewis Price standing in between the sticks.

The town physio staff hope Davis will be fit to play Burnley on Saturday and this is a step in the right direction.

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle had this to say: “Kelvin will be back in training today with a view to joining the squad tomorrow, when we hope he will be able to do something more strenuous.

“He will be concentrating today on a slow build-up and we will have to wait and see how that goes before knowing whether or not he can step it up tomorrow.”.
