Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton has called Towns’ draw against Premier league side Bolton Wanderers “a great draw”.

The 35 year old Irishman who scored a hat trick in may 2000 to send Town to Wembley for the play-off final at Bolton’s expense says the game will be great for the club and will bring back some great memories of that match four years ago.

Jim: “It's a great draw for us, at home against Premiership opposition and it obviously brings back memories of the Play-Off game, it was one of the highlights of my career, scoring a hat-trick in such a big match and it turned out to be a fantastic night for the fans and the Club in general.”

Although Bolton have been criticised by some pundits this season for their style of play Jim believes that Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has got some good players and he has done a fantastic job, Jim added: “Sam has done a fantastic job at the Reebok and has brought in some exiting players and they're a team that can compete with anyone in the Premiership now, quality players like Jay Jay Okacha have come in and you need that at the higher level so it should be a good game.”

Despite his age Jim would also a good run in the cup, adding: “The Cup has still got that bit of magic about it as well. I have never gone further than the Quarter-Finals and would love to beat that record this year.”
