Ipswich Town midfielder Tommy Miller has been considered as part of Scotland’s future line up by new boss Walter Smith.

The 25 year old midfielder had came close to playing for Scotland under Berty Vogts but injuries while training with the Scotland squad forced him back to Suffolk early, this time he didn’t even leave the county but Walter Smith’s assistant Tommy Burns did enquire about his availability for a B international tomorrow.

Joe Royle has confirmed this, saying: “Tommy is not 100 per cent fit as he is still getting over his elbow injury, and I told Tommy Burns that he is not quite ready.

“But Walter Smith the new Scotland manager and Tommy Burns have confirmed that Miller will be considered for the next match and that he is part of their plans.”
