Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle believes that Town can beat Premier league side Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup third round.

Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle believes that Town can beat Premier league side Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup third round.

Town drew Bolton at home and its Town’s home form and the crowd that Joe believes will be the extra man on the day, Royle: “We are strong at home and have yet to be beaten on our own pitch this season, this gives us a great chance of going through to the fourth round.

“You have no control over cup draws and it is no good saying you would rather have this team or that. What is important for us is to be at home and we have every chance.”

Joe is also hopeful of a full house, adding: “We will hopefully have a full house and with our fans cheering us on it can be an extra man, there is a bit of history between the two clubs going back to the First Division play-off semi-final in May 2000, but that is over now and it will be down to the best footballing team on the day.

“Make no mistake if Bolton field their strongest side they will be a severe test. They are a good team.”

Now if we can just get Barry Knight to referee…..
