Danny K Extends Loan
Arsenal have allowed defender Daniel Karbassiyoon to extend his loan stay at Portman Road by another two months.
The 20-year-old defender was due to leave Town next week and return to Highbury but both he and the premiership champions have agreed to extend his loan spell by two months keeping the American under 19 at Portman Road until march.
Both Town manager Joe Royle and Danny were both keen to extend the stay, Royle: “Danny's with us for another week anyway but we are talking to Arsenal about keeping him here longer, hopefully for another two months, he's had a good start and we're very pleased with him. We took him in a little bit blind in a way, although we'd seen him in the reserves for Arsenal and he'd done pretty well.”
Daniel: “I'm really enjoying my time here and if the chance came to stay longer that would be great, the lads have me feel very welcome here, the staff are friendly and it's great to be involved in the first-team and that's what I want to be doing now, pushing for first-team football.
“It's better for me to be playing in front of big crowds and playing in games with points at stake than playing in the reserves for Arsenal.”
