Reaction from Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle following Town 2-0 defeat against Wolverhampton wanderers last night.

Royle’s Reaction: Wolves

Royle: “We were very disappointing first-half and the damage was done in that time, we went three at the back and the players seemed up for playing that system - or I thought they were but there was no urgency when they got out on the pitch.

“Kelvin made some decent saves in the first-half and we had a few chances ourselves and were better after the break but the slow start cost us.

“Now we have to be a lot better against Sunderland on Sunday - and we will be.

“We have four hard games left but then so do Sunderland and Wigan and at least we will have a pitch we can pass the ball around at our place.

“It was like a cabbage patch out there but it was a cabbage patch for both teams.”
