Klug: We Won’t Sit Back

Ipswich Town academy director Bryan Klug insists Town’s under18 side will not sit back and defend their lead against Spurs tonight.

Town go into tonight’s FA Youth Cup semi-final second leg with a 2-0 lead over spurs after last Friday’s 2-0 win in the first leg and Klug insists Town’s youngsters will not just play with 11 men behind the ball.

Klug: “It's a nice position to be in and we would have taken a two goal advantage before the first game, we know they will look to throw men forward and come at us strongly and we'll have to be strong defensively but we won't be going out to just defend in numbers.

“That's not the Ipswich Town way. These boys have been brought up to pass and move forward and we will be going to White Hart Lane to win the game.

“It will be a big occasion for the boys and they are all looking forward to the challenge - as we all are.”

If Town win their game tonight which kicks off at 7pm at white hart lane, they will face either Wolves or Southampton in the final.
