Jim Backing Pablo

Ipswich Town captain Jim Magilton thinks Town striker Pablo Couñago could be an important player for Town over the next three games.

Couñago looks certain to be leaving Town in the summer but did his hunt for a new club a world of good after putting in an impressive display against Sunderland and Jim feels Pablo could still help Town this season.

Jim: “He got on the ball and showed real quality against Sunderland, he's not had the best of times this season and hasn't helped himself on occasions either but we all know what he can do and he made a real difference when he came on.

“I'm delighted for him as well. He can be a real handful for defenders and I think Pablo could still play his part and be an important player for us over the rest of the season.”
